A simple little revamp of an old piano stool here. Despite it's original wear and tear, it came up fantastically with a lick of paint.

Vincas & Pentas from my garden. These glasses I purchased from Vintage by lou lou last year.
I used this stencil to create a bit of visual interest inside...
The turquoise looks so cheerful when opening the lid.

If I was an ugly piece of furniture, I don't know whether I'd be pleased to see you, or whether I'd start running the other way.
ReplyDeleteCoconutty, you are a master at completely revamping these pieces ... are you keeping them all or have you plans to sell them?
It looks wonderful! I agree, the inside is so cheery and pretty. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love piano stools. I associate them with my Nana's garage where she kept her piano amongst the stacks of other trinkets and games. There was always a musty smell around whenever I'd jump on the stool and play my heart out. Such a vivid memory. And brought back to me thanks to you and this post today! xx
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Sonia! I love that stencilling inside, what a neat surprise when you open the lid :)
ReplyDeleteI also love the blue glasses used as vases...in fact I have three very similar that I was about to chuck out as I got some new ones last week. You have changed my mind on that, so thanks!
xx Karen
